any of the quest items(commendations, monastery credits, etc) can be traded one for one ale at certain locations, so if you just do the shing jea quests(say, with 3 of your guildies or friends) then you can get about 80 credits real easy like, delete the char, and do it again. results may vary on how many of your friends are willing to help, and how long they can help
but basically, you're going to need lots and lots of ales. After the first batch of 80 ales or so though, you can start getting drunk during fights and things like that while you're earning more of them. Plus, you get quite a bit of gold in the process, so you can either save that up or buy more beer, either option is good.
I helped a friend this way once or twice and hes up to 561 minutes so far(cuz its like, 16 hours of drunkeness total so he doesn't get it very quickly)
I would recommending doing it all at once, perhaps in an unpopulated district of a city or explorable area, so that you can use up enough ales to make you drunk for a few minutes while you read a book, do homework, or play some other game. 16 hours is a long time to concentrate on being drunk, and it isn't recommended to be in a challenge mission and be drunk(experience speaking). Because the way I remember drunkeness, when it was first introduced, is way different than it is now, and I thought I could handle the blurriness, and I couldn't. I ended up dieing pretty quickly because I couldn't tell what I was attacking and which skills I should use
